Chicken Kurma

Ingredients :

1 chicken ~ cleaned and cut to small pieces
5 tablespoons meat kurma powder (mix with a bit of water to form a paste)
3 potatoes (peel the skin and cut into 4 pieces)
1 onion (cut into 4 pieces)
1 tomato
2 green chilli (halved)
2 cups thick coconut milk
juice of 1 lime
2 tablespoons margarine
cooking oil
salt to taste

To pound/blend :

5 shallots
3 cloves of garlics 3 cm fresh ginger

Method :
1. Heat cooking oil and margarine in a pot. Fry the pounded ingredients till fragrant.
2. Add in the kurma paste and stir well.
3. Pour in the coconut milk and let it boil.
4. Add in the chicken pieces and potatoes. Leave to boil and slightly thick.
5. Add in salt and lime juice. Reduce the heat.
6. Add in the green chillies, onion and tomato and leave to cook.
7. Serve with white rice.

Note :
1. Instead of coconut milk, I used fresh milk.
2. I didn't put in tomato and chilli...psstt...I forgot actually! 3. Instead, I add carrots.
